From the Cave Saint Desirat co-operative, this has some typical St Joseph flavours, though on opening I am also getting some dirty, almost sulphur-like aromas on the nose and palate. Wonder if this is a faulty bottle? For that reason, and at the price (£12.99) this is not really a wine I can recommend based on this particular bottle.
Update: day 2. I left half the bottle until the next day, and as can often happen, that sulfuresque aroma has blown off with extended air. Now I have a very nice, typical, easy-drinking Saint Joseph on my hands - it is fairly lightweight and simple, but also beautifully balanced. Not sure I would pay £12.99 again though...
