Qupe Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard 2007

My first decent Californian Syrah. Just a quick impression - complex, subtle, classy though with a distinctive herbal/nail varbish character - not in a faulty way though. A world away from Aussie Shiraz and a world away from the Northern Rhone as well. 8-8.5/10
