Camden Park 2008 Bonarda Shiraz - Wine Rack

No its not from some seedy borough of North London.... This is Argentinian Shiraz no less, and actually works really well. Lovely pure black cherry-liquer like nose.

The label claims this wine 'takes no prisoners', Actually this is a really nice concentrated wine but with the structure and balance to set it apart from your average supermarket Australian example. In fact it would be interesting to insert this blind in a line up of £20 california cabernet Flavourwise you do get shiraz and an aftertaste that maybe tells you it was grown somewhere hot. But it is all kept in balance and becomes interesting for these reasons, even if there is something slightly weird about the finish which gets a little bit alcoholic.

Camden Park 2008 Bonarda Shiraz - 7.5/10 Wine Rack £9.99 (or £6.66 on 3 for 2)
